Tom Davey
A Tam Valley resident since 1993, Tom Davey works as a real estate broker, property manager and investor. Tom also is active in the San Rafael Rotary Club and serves on the board of directors at Marin Homes for Independent Living. He performs annually in Tam Valley's Murder Mystery Theatre and the Rhubarb Revue and volunteers at community events such as Creekside Friday. Tom's wife, Amy, is a labor and delivery nurse at Marin General Hospital. They have two sons. Mark is a student at U.C. Santa Cruz and Jimmy is a student at Tam High. Tom previously worked as a journalist, primarily covering business, finance and technology. He holds a bachelors degree from California State University, Sacramento, and a masters degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.
Robert DeWalt
Sue HayesSue Hayes came from England 30 years ago and has been a homeowner in Tam Valley for 27 years. She qualified as a landscape Designer in 1992 and has been running her own design and gardening business since then. She specializes in deer-resistant plants, drip irrigation, real estate garden staging and general landscape design. Sue is Currently Chairperson of the Tam Valley Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission and has been instrumental in helping to improve the landscaping at the Community Center and Tam Valley's various parks.
Alan Jones
Alan graduated from Stanford and received an MA in Art in 1963. He worked for architectural firms in San Francisco and became a licensed architect before starting his own cabinet shop and remodeling business in 1970. He moved to Marin in 1981. In 1988 he married his wife Helena and moved to Tam Valley. He was an active founding partner in Price and Jones Construction Company from 1986 until 2001. Currently he maintains a small architectural practice in his home specializing in residential remodeling. In addition to serving on the R & S Commission he was recently appointed to the Design Review Board. He has increasingly turned his attention to community service with a focus on supporting planning and development which enhances the livability of our community.
Lester Kaufman Retired after 30 years of federal government service 1986-2004 - US Environmental Protection Agency, Region 9, overseeing CA, AZ, NV, HI. During these years I managed the underground storage tanks program; the treatment, storage, and disposal of hazardous waste (RCRA) in CA; the underground injection control program; and the Region's laboratory. 1975-1986 - US Bureau of Reclamation both in Denver and Sacramento. Managed the Central Valley (CA) Fish and Wildlife Restoration Program and the Geotechnical Engineering laboratory. 1972-1974 - US Peace Corps, Malaysia. Taught high school math in the Malay language. April Post As a person who grew up in Tam Valley, April went to the local schools and graduated from Tam High in '68. She now lives in the home that her family bought in 1952, and runs her own organic landscape and design business along with her two sons, specializing in drip irrigation, deer resistant and drought tolerant planting, with an emphasis on native plants. She has a strong interest in local politics and community service. Upon returning to Tam Valley she joined the Revitalization and Safety Commission, and last year was appointed to the Tam Design Review Board.
