Welcome to the Emergency Preparation Committee Website There is much new going on for 2010.
The Emergency Preparation Committee is currently developing response plans for the Tamalpais Valley community in case of an emergency. We meet every second Monday of the month at The Cabin - Come plan with us.
Please note: Volunteers are needed! Two key elements of the plan are:
- individual preparation, and
- an effective emergency response organization. The first element is addressed through education of all the Tam Valley residents via the "Get Ready!" program The second element is addressed through the CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) program. Southern Marin CERT is working on a growth and development plan for its program. We have identified the major issues and have separated into 3 groups, each group focusing on one of the main issues.
